The brilliantly designed house by award-winning Toronto-based architect Richard Wengle starts from an oval double-height entrance foyer with an intricate ellipse staircase. With the focus on style, quality, and liveability for the clients and their families the house was beautifully decorated by Brittaney Elgner from interior design firm Olly + Em.
A stained glass artist Victoria Balva and her team created this modern decorative glass oval ceiling inspired by classic ornaments and patterns inscribed into the oval shape of the ceiling opening. A stained-glass skylight floods a two-story foyer with soft natural light adds beauty and style to space. Custom hand beveled acid etched glass accented with clear crystal jewels create reach and deep texture of the glass fabric. A twenty-four lights crystal chandelier "Daniela" by Ralph Lauren is suspended in the middle of the glass ceiling evoking a welcoming ambiance.
